Before You Write
A few things we can't help with, so you don't lose time waiting on us:
We don't run trips, own boats, employ guides, or handle reservations. If you need to book, change, or cancel a trip, contact the outfitter or booking platform directly. We have no access to their systems and can't look up your reservation.
River permits are issued by the National Park Service and the Bureau of Land Management, not by us. We explain how the systems work, but we have no involvement in them and no ability to check your application status.

We don't monitor the river in real time and we can't tell you whether it's safe to launch today. For current flows, check USGS stream gauges directly. For emergencies, call 911. For search and rescue in Grand County, call 911, do not email us.
What We Do Want to Hear About
Corrections
This matters more than anything else on this page. If we've published something wrong, please tell us. That includes an outdated permit deadline, a fee that's changed, a rapid described inaccurately, or a shuttle route that no longer works.
River information carries real consequences. A stale launch window can cost someone a trip they waited a year for. A wrong difficulty rating can put someone on water they shouldn't be on. We correct errors quickly and note significant changes on the page itself.
If you can point us to the source that shows we're wrong, even better. Send it to info@moabing.com with the page URL.
Outfitters and Guide Services
If you run trips on the rivers we cover and we've described your operation inaccurately, left you out, or listed something that's changed, get in touch.
To be clear about how this works: we don't sell placement. You can't pay to be listed, ranked higher, or reviewed favorably. What you can do is make sure the information we publish about you is correct, and tell us about your trips so we can evaluate them. Our recommendations methodology explains the criteria we use.
Local Knowledge
Boaters who run these sections regularly know things that never make it into agency documents, which camps fill first, where the shuttle actually takes longer than the map suggests, how a rapid changes at a particular flow, what's shifted after a high-water year.
If you've got that kind of detail and you're willing to share it, we'd like to hear it. We'll credit you if you want the credit and keep you anonymous if you don't.
Photography
We're interested in licensing river photography from the sections we cover, particularly on the multi-day stretches. If you shoot on the Colorado, Green, or San Juan, send a link to your work.
