Some links on this site earn us a commission. This page explains exactly how that works, what it does and doesn't influence, and who we're partnered with. Short version: it never buys a recommendation.
The Basics
Rafting Moab is published by Moabing Media, LLC. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, which means that if you click one and book or buy something, we may receive a commission from the seller.
This costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the seller. The commission comes out of the seller's margin, not your pocket.
This revenue is what keeps the site free to read, with no paywall and no subscription.
Current Affiliate Partners
As of July 2026, Rafting Moab participates in the following affiliate programs:

We update this list when partnerships change. Approvals are granted per website, so our participation here may differ from that of our sister site, Moabing.com.
How We Mark Affiliate Links
We disclose affiliate relationships in three places:
- On the page, above the first affiliate link, rather than buried at the bottom where nobody reads it.
- In the link itself: affiliate links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute, which identifies them to search engines and browsers. - Here, in full, on a page linked from every footer on the site.
What Commissions Do Not Buy
No outfitter, booking platform, or retailer can pay us for a listing, a ranking, a rating, or a favorable description. We do not accept payment for reviews. We do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial. Commission rates do not influence what we recommend or the order in which we present options.
Concretely, this means:
- If a higher-paying operator runs a worse trip for your group, we send you to the better one.
- If a trip isn't worth what it costs, we say so.
- If none of the bookable options suit what you've described, we tell you that rather than pushing you toward the closest match.
- If the right answer is to book directly with an outfitter and skip our links entirely, we'll tell you that too.
Our recommendations methodology sets out the criteria we actually use.
Much of This Site Earns Nothing
Worth stating plainly, because it explains our priorities: a large share of what we publish generates no revenue whatsoever.
Permit walkthroughs, USGS flow data, shuttle logistics, rapid descriptions, and private-boater trip planning have nothing attached to sell. Someone organizing their own Cataract Canyon launch isn't going to book a guided tour, and we're not going to pretend otherwise by wedging irrelevant links into pages where they don't belong.
We publish that material because it's what the river community actually needs. A resource that only covers what it can monetize isn't much of a resource.
Forms of Compensation We Accept
- Booking and sales commissions: a percentage of a qualifying booking or purchase made through our links.
Your Alternatives
You are never obliged to use our links. You can always:
- Book directly with an outfitter. That is often the best option, and we say so where it applies
- Compare prices across booking platforms yourself
- Search for the operator by name and go straight to their site
We mention operators by name specifically so you can find them without us.
Prices and Availability
Trip prices, departure schedules, and availability change without notice, and seasonal pricing varies considerably. Any figures we publish are indicative and were accurate when written. Always confirm current pricing and availability with the operator before booking.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is intended to comply with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, which require clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections between endorsers and sellers.
